Cleanse. Moisturize. Apply SPF. The foundation of all skincare routines and keeping a youthful appearance, especially as summer arrives in New York City. Take your self-care to the next level with the following brands we’ve collaborated with in our beauty Pop Up shop locations:
Atolla Skin Labs
Parasol Projects @ 251 Elizabeth Street from July 23 to 30, 2018
Founded by MIT graduates, Meghan Maupin and Sid Salvi, and dermatologist, Dr. Ranella Hirsch, Atolla was a tech startup utilizing the power of AI and machine learning to concoct customized serums to address targeted skincare concerns. Prior to launching their app, Atolla’s Pop Up experience served as a space for the startup to showcase their skin diagnostic tool to NYC residents. Their app collects data and builds the user’s skin profile to help determine the best formula for one’s skin at any time of the year. As of January 2022, Atolla has been acquired by Function of Beauty.
Maapilim
Parasol Projects @ 251 Elizabeth Street from April 5 to 28, 2019
Who says beauty and skincare is only for women? Maapilim challenges the backward and unhealthy notion of masculinity in relation to grooming and self-care. Originally a men’s skin and hair care brand, Maapilim transformed into a gender-neutral beauty brand infused with high-quality Mediterranean ingredients and wellness principles.
From shampoo, body lotion, and deodorant to razors and beard oil; they offer a wide range of daily hair care, body care, and skincare essentials. View this phenomenal video tour of the soothing Grecian garden-inspired Pop Up interior on their Instagram post.

All of their product packaging is 100% recyclable. One Ocean Beauty’s Replenishing Deep Sea Moisturizer is one of their top bestsellers – a lightweight, hydrating cream perfect for a hot, humid summer.
Savor Beauty
Parasol Projects @ 251 Elizabeth Street from March 13 to 24, 2019
Savor Beauty is a certified organic skincare brand founded by Angela Jia Kim, a former concert pianist, who was inspired by her personal experience, mother, and Korean heritage to formulate alternatives to falsely advertised, “natural” skincare products. Their all-women production facility team blends naturally-derived ingredients to create facial cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers, and more.
Additionally, all products are produced locally in New York in small batches by hand and are cruelty-free and plant-based. What’s more: if you are craving an in-person, one-on-one experience, Savor Beauty has two stores located on the Upper West Side and West Village. Book an appointment at their spas to receive facials, massages, and treatments from their in-house, award-winning estheticians.
