At namesake we are not off-the-rack women, nor did we want our leather jackets to be. We created namesake to answer your need for individuality and personal edge in design, as in other aspects of your life.

We invite you into our design studio to create a custom jacket that speaks to your sense of style, to the person you want to be when you slip into this second skin. The iconic leather jacket has the power to make you feel a little more glamorous, wild, courageous, creative… whatever it is that you need.

Every namesake jacket is made by hand in our Toronto atelier by designer Rosa Halpern. Named after two influential women herself — Rosa Parks and Rosa Luxemburg — Rosa has given each jacket the name of a woman who has left a powerful imprint on the world. As your jacket is worn in, broken down, stretched to fit, and scarred from adventure, it will carry your story forward, as we have carried the stories of our namesakes.
