KIDS New York is a four week long summer pop-up boutique which stocks young, niche, up-and-coming designers based out of New York City and Los Angeles. The summer pop-up will consist of a mix of high-fashion and contemporary streetwear with a punk aesthetic inspired by youth subcultures and the New York City downtown scene. KIDS New York will stock SAGE HOLLYWOOD, Alexander Digenova, Martine Ali, Rye Decker, Rideau, and Ant Digenova. The store will open daily July 18th through August 12th, from 12 pm to 7 pm.

KIDS New York will be housed at 213 Bowery St. 213 is on the corner of Bowery and Rivington, wedged in between SoHo and The Lower East Side. The Bowery is home to Supreme’s new location, Vandal, and The Bowery Hotel. The inspiration for the interior of the space is an old chateau that a punk band broke into and lived in. The interior puts a modern spin on the classic french empire style with punk motifs scattered throughout. Posters and broken mirrors line the walls, along with a hanging custom Alexander Digenova guitar and a Pearl drum set at center stage. A small french bistro style seating area hugs the exterior of the store. The store will feature weekly events, which are yet to be announced.

KIDS New York is a product of Manhattan-based entrepreneurs Carlo Bernstein and Jake Sibley; two 18 year olds born and raised in NYC. As New York natives, Jake and Carlo realized the need to fill a gap in the New York City fashion retail scene, giving people a chance to discover the next generation — young underrepresented brands who typically only sell their pieces online or in select retail stores. Thus, these brands’ consumers typically do not get the chance to try on and interact with garments, but this store is filling that void. Founded in 2019, KIDS New York is Jake’s and Carlo’s first start-up aiming to serve major cities with curated pop-up stores and events.
