I always thought I could remember that day. I wished I met her in my hometown,
that hot day I can’t remember,
and she wished she met me that hot summer day,
that day she can’t remember.
We build that memory, we build it from scratch, and we replaced things with new things.
It’s all games and stories.
We are driving trough that long, long road, it’s just like that road in
My
Own
Private
Idaho,
it’s the same road, we laugh, we laugh and we are young. It’s all games and stories  and I still can’t remember that day very well.

She says

Can’t we just say that we met when we were kids? Let’s just change our memories and pretend we met before. I was the girl living down your street and I used to climb up your window and we would climb up on your roof and we would talk until it gets completly dark. You were grounded all the time and I would wait for you in your alley and you would jump on your mum’s toyota and we would run to that soccer field where all the kids hang out. We were best friends for so many years and you never admitted you were in love with me. But then one night during the summer, during that little concert, we were doing a water fight and you just kissed me. Why can’t we say that?
